This hotel is a real gem. the location is absolutely perfect - just a stone's throw from the train station and really close to the express bus stop to get to Jigokudani monkey park. It couldn't be more convenient for exploring the area. Secondly, the staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. Lastly, the rooms are comfortable and clean, with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
No major issues, everything was spot on.

It was worth its 3 stars. Moreover, it had free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The restaurant was located within 300 feet.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room at Island Hotel. It was about 10% bigger than the average Japanese hotel, which made it feel more comfortable and spacious. The cleanliness of the room was also impressive, adding to the overall positive experience.

One of the things I really liked about this hotel was its excellent location. It is just one block away from the train station, making it super convenient for travelers like myself. Not only that, but it is also really close to the express bus stop that takes you to the famous Jigokudani Monkey Park. So, if you're planning a visit there, this hotel is a great choice.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was great and there were no major issues that I could point out.

Spending my Christmas at this hotel was a great experience. the spacious and clean twin rooms were a delight to stay in. the hot spring fed public bath on the second floor was incredibly relaxing. the hotel's location, very close to popular tourist spots, made it easy for me to visit the attractions I had planned. the laundry facilities helped me to pack light as I could easily wash and dry my clothes on the seventh floor.
The breakfast was not up to par. the limited options made it difficult for me to find something that I liked.

The rooms were basic but clean and comfy. The laundry facilities were really useful, and the traditional Japanese baths were really interesting to use! The hotel's location was perfect for getting to different tourist destinations around the area and close to lots of great places to eat.
The breakfast room was quite small for everyone to fit in, and the breakfast wasn't the best since there wasn't much choice. It really ruined our mood during Easter to be woken up by the alarm in the room at 5 in the morning, which was really annoying.

This hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to access transportation and dining options. the rooms are spacious and comfortable with amenities such as self-service laundry and free breakfast. Guests can enjoy the hot spring fed public bath, complete with separate towels. Some rooms even offer nice views of the surroundings.
The lack of attention to the ambiance of the public bath left something to be desired.
